Trains and Traction at the Ramsgate Tunnels – Free Model Railway Exhibition
Sunday 6 September 2026 10am–4pm
Visit Ramsgate Tunnels miniature steam, traction engines and railway fun event organised by Canterbury and Ramsgate Model Engineering Clubs.
On Sunday is a free Model Railway Exhibition in the Tunnels entrance area, featuring around 12 layouts plus an art show by Steve Wyse Hon.GRA.
To complement the exhibition, there will be two special Railway Tunnel Tours at 11:30am and 2:30pm. Step inside the mile-long railway tunnel and enjoy a unique walking tour between Ramsgate and Broadstairs.
Miniature steam traction engines will be running on the promenade beside the Tunnels. Outside the Tunnels, 7 inch gauge steam trains will also be running, operated by Canterbury and Ramsgate model engineering Clubs. Rides on the miniature traction engines and miniature steam trains are just £1.
