A Wainwright C-class locomotive gets the right-away from Ramsgate Town station with a stopping train to Ashford, Kent.
The 1946 South Eastern Railway’s Ramsgate Town station was the first railway station in Ramsgate. It closed by the Southern Railway when a new direct line was built linking this and the rival LCDR Harbour Station in 1926.
