Awaiting departure from Victoria Station, Bulleid pacific No.21C170 ‘Manston’ is in charge of the Night Ferry luxury sleeping car train early in 1948.
As two locomotives were usually required to haul this heavy train, tucked in behind the Bulleid is an L1 class 4-4-0.
