Description
Bulleid Battle of Britain class locomotive No. 34070 ‘Manston’ is seen climbing towards Sole Street station with the London bound Kentish Belle Pullman service.
The Kentish Belle was the named Pullman train run by the Southern Region of British Railways from 1951 until withdrawal in 1958. It ended due to the electrification of the North Kent Coast main line the in July of following year.
Leaving London Victoria at 11:35am, it called at Whitstable, Herne Bay, Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. The return service departing Ramsgate at 5:30pm.
